The Solarium features one pool, two large hot tubs, and the Solarium Bar. One added bonus of spending time in the Solarium is that the pool chairs are padded, which offers more comfort to guests. One of the main additions to Navigator of the Seas’ amplification was the addition of The Lime & Coconut on the pool deck.
How much does it cost to go on Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas?
A complimentary restaurant is included in your cruise fare, so there is no additional cost to eat there. There are also no limits on how many times you can eat at a certain location, so you are free to go back as much as you would like. Some venues have a set cost for a meal whereas others follow a “pay as you go” model, such as Izumi Sushi. Another way to gauge the cost of a cruise is to consider how much you'll spend on board. Even though a lot is included in the base cruise fare, you may still spend money on things like spa treatments, specialty dining, drinks, and excursions.

I actually enjoyed this as otherwise Olivia would just want to be in the kids club the whole time so it was a nice balance. The casino onboard the cruise ship is fun but they do allow smoking which makes it less fun. They have all the table games from craps, to blackjack to roulette. Chop’s grill was probably my least favorite of the dining experiences but one of the most booked up locations. It could be that I am not a big steak person, but the food overall was not as exceptional as I expected.
Ports of call

Note that transportation was not included and cost around $20 per person for the round-trip fare. I also discovered that wi-fi was not included in the rate; however, it was available for purchase. An all-inclusive resort is the way to go in Puerto Vallarta, especially if you are looking for some time in the sun and/or beach. I visited Hotel Riu Vallarta, which was located about thirty minutes from the cruise port. The last time I tendered to any port was in 2016 when I visited Grand Cayman on a Disney cruise, so I was unsure how the tender process would work onboard a Royal Caribbean ship. While onboard, I saw the ice skating show, original production that was a tribute to show girls, and The Quest.
Guests of all ages can test their strength by climbing up the wall, which offers both beginner and more challenging routes. There will often be special events held at the rock wall like speed climbing challenges and night climbing sessions. The other water slide onboard is Riptide, a headfirst water slide where guests lay on a mat and are zipped around the ship.
You and your friends or family members will be propelled via five water jet blasters around dips and turns and drops, all at a dizzying height over the water. In 2019, Navigator of the Seas held status as the 30th largest passenger ship in the world. As of 2024, it’s dropped down the list of largest cruise ships even further, all the way down to the 57th spot. Navigator of the Seas isn’t huge, as alluded, but the Voyager class did once include some of the largest cruise ships on the planet.
It’s rumored that Navigator of the Seas will undergo another dry dock in March 2024, in Singapore. As mentioned, Navigator of the Seas has undergone a few rounds of refurbishments, which has allowed it to keep pace with some of the newer ships in Royal Caribbean’s fleet. Whether you cruise multiple times per year or you're new to cruising, the goal of Royal Caribbean Blog is for it to be a useful resource for keeping up to date with what's new and exciting with Royal Caribbean. The chances of your bid winning can depend on a variety of factors such as the ship’s capacity and your bid amount. Generally you will receive an email inviting you to participate in RoyalUp about a month before your cruise. One popular activity that does come at an extra cost is the Escape Room.

The search for your favorite island bar is over — it’s on the amped up Navigator of the Seas®. The Lime and Coconut® delivers turned up Caribbean cool across three levels of prime pool front views. The first two decks serve up your favorite vacation-mode libations. Because when the sun goes down, this pool bar just might be the hottest spot onboard. The Lime and Coconut℠ delivers turned up Caribbean cool across three levels of prime pool front views. You don’t have to attend a show to find great entertainment onboard, though.

The Royal Promenade first premiered on Voyager-class ships and now it’s difficult to imagine many Royal Caribbean ships without one. Whichever stateroom you choose, though, you’ll appreciate the staterooms’ slightly updated décor and aesthetic, which, while slightly reminiscent of the ship’s 2000s and 2010s heyday, doesn’t feel dingy. The ship has sailed all over the world thus far, including itineraries around the Caribbean, Mexico and the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
She loves to get active while at port, whether cycling through mountains in the Caribbean or scuba diving under the sea. If you’re looking to upgrade from an interior room but don’t necessarily want to splurge on a balcony, an interior promenade view is an option to consider. Interior promenade rooms are interior rooms with a window overlooking the Royal Promenade, which can help you feel more connected to the ship from inside your cabin.
Navigator of the Seas is a cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International. Navigator of the Seas itinerary program is based on short Florida-Bahamas cruises (3-4-day itineraries) from homeports Miami and Fort Lauderdale visiting Nassau and CocoCay. Follows the complete list of Navigator of the Seas lounges, clubs and other entertainment venues for kids, teens, and adults. Dial up delicious in-room dining day or night to enjoy paired with comfort and privacy.
Of those options, 4 are complementary, or included with your cruise fare. Some of those options are a set price and some have a la cart menu pricing. Only 36% of the dining options are included meaning you might spend more while on the ship due to the additional fees. There's far more to do on Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas than laze away, dine and imbibe. Beyond the Sports Court, there are many other activities to choose from onboard Navigator of the Seas. On the front of the ship is the Navigator Dunes, a complimentary mini golf course.
During the day, the Lime & Coconut is a lively area where you can relax, enjoy some great music and have a delicious cocktail. It has many of the fun aspects of some of the new Royal Caribbean ships like the Harmony and Symphony of the Seas. In other words, if you don’t need the biggest or the best, but you do still want to be assured your cruising experience will be incredibly fun, you can’t go wrong with Navigator of the Seas. The Adventure Ocean kids club offers places for children from toddlers to age 12 to hang out, learn something new and show off their creativity. It’s worth noting that these dry docks did add substantial weight to the ship. The 2019 dry dock increased the ship’s size to its current 139,999 GT.
Whether fueling up on the go or sitting down to a fine dining feast, you’ll find endless flavors to treat your taste buds. Head to El Loco Fresh® for crazy good tacos, grab a lobster roll from Hooked Seafood℠ at lunchtime, and share one of chef Jamie Oliver’s antipasti planks over dinner at Jamie’s Italian. With so many options to choose from, the only thing you’ll be craving is more mealtimes in a day. Choosing which stateroom to pick can be a difficult decision for some guests. What works best for one passenger may not work for another, so it’s important to look at your vacation style and budget before selecting a cabin.
Riptide has sections of the slide that not only suspend over the water off the side of the ship, but are clear, meaning that you see directly into the ocean below. Navigator of the Seas offers complimentary shows, music, and activities for guests to enjoy. The pool deck area also extends to the aft and forward of Navigator of the Seas, where you will find the Sports Court and Navigator Dunes mini golf course, along with more seating areas. Nothing beats relaxing by a pool with a nice drink in hand as you feel the fresh sea breeze pass by you.
There are a wide array of spa treatments to reserve including massages, facials, and nail treatments. Our recommendation is to take the complimentary spa tour on the first day of your cruise to learn more about the treatments available. Our tip for seeing the shows onboard is to ensure you make reservations early. Making reservations is easy to do in the Royal Caribbean app, as you can select the time and date that works best for you. If you forget to make a reservation and there are no more spots available, head to the Royal Theater or Studio B prior to the show and wait to see if there is room for extra guests. Guests often make reservations and forget or decide not to attend, which makes space for those without reservations.
